Community Guidelines

Creating a healthy and welcoming environment is essential for fostering trust and transparency. The following community guidelines ensure that users can share their experiences while maintaining respect and integrity within the platform. By following these principles, you contribute to a positive and valuable community.

Be Respectful and Considerate

  • All users should feel safe and welcome on the platform. Treat others as you would like to be treated—with kindness and respect. Avoid using aggressive language, derogatory remarks, or any form of personal attack.
  • Examples of prohibited behavior include threats, harassment, hate speech, and any content intended to intimidate or incite hostility toward individuals or groups. Such content will be removed.
  • No Hate Speech or Discrimination

  • Any content that promotes hatred or discrimination is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, statements that demean individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or other characteristics.
  • Users are expected to express their opinions respectfully and without resorting to bigotry or slurs. Content that incites violence or promotes exclusion will be removed immediately.
  • Stay Relevant and On-Topic

  • Ensure that your reviews are directly related to the business, product, or service in question. Off-topic content, such as unrelated anecdotes, political commentary, or personal disputes, detracts from the relevance of the review.
  • Avoid Inappropriate or Offensive Content

  • Do not post content that is vulgar, obscene, or otherwise inappropriate. This includes sexual content, explicit language, and anything that is generally not suitable for a public audience.
  • The platform also does not tolerate graphic violence, references to illegal activities, or content that depicts or glorifies harm to others.
  • Any content that violates local, national, or international laws, regulations, or legal standards is strictly prohibited on the platform and includes activities, information, or media that promote, facilitate, or encourage unlawful behavior.
  • No Self-Promotion, Advertising, or Spam

  • The platform is intended for sharing genuine experiences, not for self-promotion. Do not use your reviews to promote your own business, website, or other ventures like cryptocurrency etc.
  • Avoid spamming by posting repetitive content, copy-pasting the same review across multiple places, or linking to external sites excessively.
  • Respect Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights

  • Do not post content that you do not own or have permission to use. This includes copyrighted material, trademarks, and any other intellectual property.
  • When quoting or referencing other sources, ensure that it is properly attributed and falls within fair use guidelines. This applies to text, images, videos, and other media.
  • Provide Honest and Accurate Reviews

  • Your reviews should reflect your true experiences and opinions. Fabricating stories, exaggerating details, or posting reviews based on hearsay or false information undermines the purpose of the platform.
  • Always back your statements with facts and direct experiences, avoiding assumptions or baseless accusations.
  • Do not write reviews on behalf of others or under false identities.
  • Users are strictly prohibited from accepting any form of remuneration, incentives, or compensation—including money, gifts, or discounts—in exchange for posting a review, whether positive or negative. Any violation of this policy may result in the removal of the review.
  • Respect Others’ Privacy

  • Never share personal information—such as home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, or private messages—without the explicit consent of the person involved. This also applies to any confidential or proprietary business information.
  • Remember that reviews are public, so avoid including any details that could expose someone’s private life or put them at risk.
  • Violation of Community Guidelines

We reserve the right to remove any reviews that violate our community guidelines to maintain a safe and constructive environment. Users can report reviews posted by other users if they believe they do not comply with the community standards or violate the platform’s policies. Overview

Flagging is a tool provided to both users and businesses to report content that may violate the platform's policies or community guidelines. When flagging a review or comment, it is important to ensure that the report is based on objective concerns rather than subjective disagreements. Misuse of the flagging system may result in restrictions on account privileges.

To report violations, locate the "Flag" button next to the content/review in question, select the reason for the report (e.g., spam, inappropriate content, or illegal activity), and submit your report for review by the moderation team.

    How to Flag

What Not to Flag: Guidelines for Responsible Reporting

To ensure that the flagging and reporting system is used appropriately, users and businesses should only flag content that genuinely violates the platform’s community guidelines. Misuse of the reporting function, such as flagging content based on personal preferences or disagreements, disrupts the review process and may lead to delays in addressing legitimate issues.

Here’s a detailed guide on what should not be flagged:

      1. Negative Reviews or Critical Feedback

    • Do Not Flag content simply because it provides negative feedback or criticism of a business, service, or experience.

Example: “I didn’t like the food at this restaurant, and the service was slow.”.

    • Even if a review is unfavorable, it does not warrant a flag unless it violates specific community guidelines (e.g., contains hate speech or defamatory statements).
    • 2. Disagreement with Opinions

    • Do Not Flag reviews or comments simply because you disagree with the reviewer’s opinion or have a different perspective.

Example: “I thought the movie was boring,” or “This store doesn’t have a great selection.”

    • Opinions, as long as they are respectfully stated and relevant, should be respected, even if they don’t align with your viewpoint.
    • 3. Content You Don’t Like

    • Do Not Flag content just because it is unflattering, harsh, or personally displeasing.

Example: “The owner was a bit rude when I asked for a refund.”

    • Flagging should be reserved for posts that are objectively inappropriate, such as containing abusive language, threats, or discrimination.
    • 4. Content with a Negative Tone or Rude Language

    • Do Not Flag content solely because the reviewer used a negative tone or seemed rude, unless the language used falls under harassment, hate speech, or targeted attacks.

Example: “This place sucks, and I won’t be coming back.”

    • While rude or impolite, it doesn’t violate community guidelines unless it crosses the line into abusive or threatening language.
    • 5. Poorly Written Reviews or Comments

    • Do Not Flag content that has spelling mistakes, grammar issues, or appears unprofessional.

Example: “I reely din’t enjoy my expereince here at all. Avoid!!”

    • A poorly written review is not a valid reason to flag unless it is unintelligible or spam-like.
    • 6. Older or Outdated Reviews

    • Do Not Flag content just because it is old or no longer reflects current circumstances.

Example: A review from several years ago that may not align with the current quality of service.

    • Flagging should focus on content that is currently harmful or violates guidelines, not just outdated experiences.
    • 7. Low Ratings or Star Scores

    • Do Not Flag content just because it has given a low star rating or poor score.

Example: A one-star review with a brief comment like “Bad service.”

    • Low ratings are not grounds for flagging unless the review itself includes inappropriate content.
    • 8. Reviews Lacking Detail

    • Do Not Flag content just because it is brief, vague, or lacks sufficient detail.

Example: “Not a fan” or “Okay experience.”

    • Minimalist reviews, even if not very helpful, do not inherently violate guidelines.
    • 9. Competitor Reviews or Suspicion without Evidence

    • Do Not Flag content just because you suspect it is from a competitor or biased, unless you have clear evidence to support your claim.

Example: A negative review from a user you think is affiliated with a competing business.

    • If you suspect this, consider submitting a separate report with evidence rather than flagging through the review system.

      1. Review Process for Unfair Flagging

Repeated misuse of the flagging system by users may result in warnings, suspensions, or account termination.

If you believe your content has been unfairly flagged and removed, you may appeal the decision through the Appeals Process described in the previous section. In your appeal, please provide:

    • Your content will be restored as soon as possible.

    • You will be notified via email of the restoration and reversal of penalties.

    • 4. Protection Against Retaliation

We take reports of unfair flagging seriously. If we identify any patterns of targeted or retaliatory flagging by other users, we will take appropriate actions, which may include restricting or banning users who abuse the flagging system.
